Mandeville-based Synergy Glass Company, LLC has become the first glazing contractor in Louisiana to earn North American Contractor Certification (NACC). NACC is an ANSI-accredited, award-winning, third-party credential that recognizes architectural glass and metal contractors who adhere to best practices for quality, safety, and business operations. By earning NACC, Synergy Glass Company affirmed its commitment to excellence and adherence to industry-leading standards in the glazing profession.
“We're immensely proud to be the first glazing contractor in Louisiana to achieve NACC,” said Synergy Glass Company President & CEO Gareth Reardon. “This accreditation reaffirms our unwavering dedication to excellence in every aspect of our operations, from stringent quality control measures to safety.”
To earn the NACC credential, a glazing contractor undergoes a series of assessments of both business and glazing processes and must document and implement written procedures in a required Quality Management System (QMS). Synergy Glass Company initiated its NACC application in January. To maintain certification, the company will be evaluated annually to confirm its practices remain at the high standards NACC requires.
NACC is a comprehensive company qualification requiring the participation of all employees. Quality Control and Safety Manager Robert Beebe headed the certification process for Synergy Glass Company. He worked alongside Reardon and vice presidents Chad Hall and Roy Sandrock III, with other staff members contributing as necessary.
Synergy Glass Company specializes in full-service commercial glazing, offering comprehensive services from design assist and preconstruction to fabrication, installation, and testing. Recent projects have included the new airport terminal at Lafayette Regional Airport, the expansion of St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, and construction of Paretti Mazda dealerships in Metairie and Covington.
“By undergoing this rigorous evaluation process, we've not only demonstrated our adherence to industry-leading standards but also underscored our position as a trailblazer in the glazing profession. This achievement isn't just a milestone; it's a testament to our relentless pursuit of perfection and our commitment to delivering unmatched value to our clients,” added Reardon.
“As the first to earn NACC in Louisiana, Synergy Glass Company has set a high bar for quality and reliability,” said NACC Program Director Jeff Dalaba. “General contractors, construction managers, architects, and owners can be confident that Synergy’s certification indicates expert craftsmanship, high quality, and minimized risk.”
Since its 2015 launch, the NACC program has certified glazing subcontractors in 26 states and Canada. Glazing contractors can earn the NACC credential in one or more of eight categories based on the company’s operations: interior and exterior entry systems, building envelope low-rise, building envelope high-rise, active glass, guardrails, service work, interior glazing, and horizontal glazing. Synergy Glass Company earned NACC in all eight categories.
