ALICE Technologies today announced the launch of ALICE Core, a major addition to its award-winning construction optioneering platform. The ALICE platform helps general contractors, EPCs and owners worldwide to leverage the power of AI to plan, bid and build their capital projects more efficiently and with reduced risk. With the introduction of ALICE Core, the company has significantly expanded its potential customer base by enabling construction professionals using Oracle’s Primavera Cloud, Primavera P6 Professional, and Primavera P6 EPPM scheduling products to optioneer their schedules using ALICE.
The Oracle Primavera family of products has long been popular with the large contractors and owners building capital projects. Through ALICE Core, ALICE Technologies now makes it easy for Primavera users to import their schedules into ALICE. ALICE Core enables owners and contractors to challenge and refine their baseline schedules through AI-powered “what if” analysis or construction optioneering. With ALICE Core, Primavera users can now explore questions such as, “What if I added a second concrete pump to our site?”, “What can we do to deliver on time if critical equipment is delivered late?”, “How can I resequence my work?”, or “How do I increase or decrease float for my project while meeting my business goals?” This way, users can develop a strong understanding of how sensitive their schedules are to variations in key resources and other variables. Based on what they learn through this analysis, ALICE users can work to optimize their construction schedules, recover from project delays, and export enhanced schedules back to the Primavera environment.
ALICE Technologies’ original product, which customers generally use with a BIM model as their starting point, has been renamed ALICE Pro. As with ALICE Core, ALICE Pro users benefit from the ability to explore scenarios through construction optioneering, leading to schedules that can be both more efficient and less risky. In addition, with ALICE Pro, users can add transparency to their planning process by connecting their 3D model with their schedule and estimates to visualize all aspects of their construction project in 4D. The company will now offer its customers both ALICE Core and ALICE Pro, enabling them to use the right product for the right situation.
ALICE has also introduced a new token-based pricing model for the ALICE platform. The token-based model, which is used with other leading contech products, is intended to make the platform accessible to a wider set of prospective users and enable those users to use it on more projects.
With the launch of ALICE Core, ALICE Technologies has also joined Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN). ALICE Core is now available on the Oracle Cloud Marketplace and can be deployed on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).Oracle Cloud Marketplace is a centralized repository of enterprise applications offered by Oracle and Oracle partners. Oracle Cloud Marketplace is a one-stop shop for Oracle customers seeking trusted business applications offering unique business solutions, including those that extend Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.
OCI is a deep and broad platform of cloud infrastructure services that enables customers to build and run a wide range of applications in a scalable, secure, highly available, and high-performance environment. From application development and business analytics to data management, integration, security, AI, and infrastructure services including Kubernetes and VMware, OCI delivers comprehensive security, performance, and cost savings. In addition, with multicloud, hybrid cloud, public cloud, and dedicated cloud options, OCI’s distributed cloud offers customers the benefits of cloud with greater control over data residency, locality, and authority, even across multiple clouds. As a result, customers can bring enterprise workloads to the cloud quickly and efficiently while addressing the strictest regulatory compliance requirements.
“By making it fast and easy to bring information from Oracle’s scheduling products to ALICE and back again, we are enabling Primavera users to build on the investment they’ve made in their existing schedules through construction optioneering,” said René Morkos, CEO of ALICE. “ALICE Core – together with our new pricing model – will enable more companies to use ALICE and on more projects. This new product and pricing represent the most significant changes we’ve made to our platform and business model since the launch of the company, and we’re excited to see both GCs and owners maximize the impact that AI can have on their businesses with ALICE.”
“The introduction of ALICE Core provides additional value to construction professionals who rely on Oracle’s established scheduling solutions,” said Frank Malangone, Executive Director, Industry Strategy and Innovation, Oracle Construction and Engineering. “We’re pleased to be collaborating with ALICE to help our customers leverage an AI-based tool to optimize their construction schedules, and we welcome ALICE to Oracle Partner Network.”
