Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, Mexico – Walbridge and subcontractors at General Motors’ Ramos Arizpe plant are celebrating 10 million craft hours without a recordable injury – an incredible safety achievement.
Walbridge de Mexico General Manager Jose Haro thanked the team for prioritizing safety. Walbridge’s first core value is to “Think, demand and deliver safety in all aspects of our business.” Haro said the GM Ramos team took that to heart.
“This accomplishment is a testament to the hard work and unwavering commitment of the skilled trades and the entire team to focus on safety daily,” Haro said. “We’re grateful to our customer and skilled trades for the continuous collaboration and dedication to a safety-first culture.”
Walbridge, a leading-edge constructor and regularly the No. 1 U.S. automotive construction firm through ENR Rankings, has an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.43 in 2023. The industry average is 1.0.
Mike Palazzola, Walbridge’s Assistant Vice President of Health, Safety and Environmental, echoed Haro’s comments, praising every worker on the jobsite for truly embodying a “Safety first culture.”
