– Boral Roofing LLC, the national leader in durable and energy-efficient new and retrofit roofing systems, is pleased to introduce a set of new colors for its signature concrete roof tile line. Inspired by the beach landscape and comprising six new hues, the shade collection is particularly suited to complement homes of the contemporary and transitional architectural styles.
“We are introducing these new colors to address demand among home buyers and owners for highly durable and energy efficient roofing tile in lighter, more neutral shades,” said Rich Thomas, marketing product manager. “Through extensive study of consumer trends, Boral Roofing has discovered a growing desire among buyers for their homes to provide sensorial relief from all the technology and information they absorb daily. Exteriors and interiors alike are being designed with less visual clutter and with cooler, reduced color palettes. Our new color collection reflects these shifts.”
Boral Roofing’s new colors are inspired by the beach landscape. The collection includes new hues in Ashen Blend, Café Sand Blend, Mottled White Blend, Atmosphere Blend, Oceana Blend, and Beach Blonde Blend, with each shade reflecting an element commonly found at the seaside. All these neutral shades summon a sense of understated ease and elegance as cool tones with undertones of grey.
“The beach is a place of calm and a known respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life,” added Thomas. “These new colors evoke that same feeling when installed on the roof.”
The new collection shares all the many benefits of Boral Roofing’s complete line of concrete tile systems including durability, protection from the elements, and energy efficiency. The tile dramatically reduces the heating and cooling demands of the structure, extending up to 22 percent in long-term energy cost savings to the owner. [1]
Concrete tile offers a lengthy lifespan, with a replacement expected every 75 years. [2] The tile is low maintenance and offers a Class A fire rating. Additionally, the concrete tile lends added benefit to the environment as a product manufactured utilizing abundant, locally-sourced, and naturally occurring geologic material. Boral Roofing’s concrete tile is also fully recyclable at the end of its life on the roof.
The new concrete roof tile colors are available in the southeast and northeast U.S., as well as in Quebec. The collection may be previewed in Boral Roofing’s Boral Lifestyle Brochure.
