CoreLogic Home Price Index — Feb. 7
Home prices in the U.S. are continuing to climb as inventory fails to keep pace with burgeoning demand in many markets. In November, the CoreLogic Home Price Index posted a monthly increase of 1.1% and a year-over-year gain of 7.1%. Some industry observers see a slowdown in price growth ahead, as inventory replenishes in some of the country's tightest markets. On Tuesday, Feb. 7, the HPI for December will be released, indicating whether prices tapered before the close of the year or continued their skyward trajectory.
