CoreLogic Home Price Index — Sept. 6
CoreLogic will release its July Home Price Index on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Last month, CoreLogic announced home prices rose 1.1% between May and June and 5.3% between June 2015 and June 2016. June's price increase was, once again, higher than CoreLogic's prediction of only a 0.8% bump.
CoreLogic Chief Economist Frank Nothaft said consistently low mortgage rates encouraged buyers and drove home purchases in June.
In last month's report, CoreLogic predicted home price growth would slow between June and July and rise only 0.6%. Will Tuesday's report once again reveal a strong gain in home prices, or will the trend start to down to align with CoreLogic's forecast?
