The Boldt Co. has hired Brad VanGorder as vice president and general manager of its Detroit office, according to a news release.
VanGorder will manage Detroit construction operations for the Appleton, Wisconsin-based national contractor, leading efforts to strengthen existing customer relationships and drive business growth, according to the release.
Boldt has been growing rapidly over the last couple of years. The firm ranked No. 77 in Engineering News-Record’s Top 400 Contractors list for 2023, catapulting over nearly 20 firms from its No. 96 ranking in 2022.
With more than 16 years in the industry, VanGorder most recently served as chief operating officer for Farmington Hills, Michigan-based LaSalle Construction Services, where he led teams and managed multimillion-dollar projects.
His experience includes automotive, technology, commercial, education, training, municipal and health/senior living builds.
“My goal is to provide excellent customer service to Boldt’s clients and invest in employees to help them achieve their goals,” VanGorder said in the release. “There are significant opportunities to foster growth within Boldt, and I look forward to building with this team.”
VanGorder earned his bachelor’s degree in construction management from Ferris State University and holds a Project Management Professional certification.
