Some people tweet about their lunches, but some Twitter traffic is highly valuable, which is why the Urban Land Institute's Urban Land magazine has compiled a list of the tweeters it says are the most influential in the housing industry.
"Not only is Twitter valuable for those wanting to interact with key thought leaders , journalists, and associations in the housing industry, but it is also valuable for finding timely information and identifying developments and trends within the sector," according to the magazine.
The article explains the way the magazine ranked the Twitter users, and the table with it includes scores from Twitalyzer, Klout and PeerIndex.
The project began with what the magazine called "a small group of housing industry thought leaders," looked at whom they followed and who followed them, and built from there.
The top five on the list were Inman News, followed by Binyamin Appelbaum of the New York Times, Housing Wire, the Urban Land Institute and Bill McBride.
