An $800 million shopping center, hotel and office complex that was supposed to be built and operating in Sunnyvale, Calif., last year, remains an inactive construction site entangled in a fight between a developer and a bank.
The developer, Peter Pau, and the bank, Wells Fargo & Co., are tussling over issues including ownership of the Sunnyvale Town Center, which is now a collection of mostly unfinished buildings. Both sides have filed lawsuits in state Superior Court in San Jose over the matter.
