Newforma has introduced its new Construction Suite software package as part of its project information management line.

In the suite are three applications – Newforma® Preconstruction, Newforma® Project Management, and Newforma® Field Management. All, Newforma says, aim to speed up information exchanges for design-build firms, general contractors, construction managers and large specialty subcontractors.

The offerings, then company, said have been field-tested by selected customers before being released for sale.

The offerings are Web-based, and Newforma says it has designed a graphically based, "ATM-easy" interface. Two other features touted in the company's announcement are a publishing function to create CDs or DVD's for closing out and archiving a project and a form letters function that uses Microsoft Office templates and draws on contact, company and project data kept in a Newforma application.
