Odebrecht Construction, which has business interests in Cuba, has gone to federal district court in an effort to knock down a new Florida law that says the state may not do business with companies that have a Cuban link.
Odebrecht told the court it is trying to win Florida Department of Transportation contracts valued at more than $3.4 billion. On its list are a $2.1 billion reconstruction of Interstate 4 through Orlando and an $870 million project to have managed lanes on Interstate 75 in Miami-Dade County.
