“Our teams lead some of the most vital construction projects across the New York City and Long Island region — everything from new school construction to sustainability efforts combating climate change, to increasing Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility in Penn Station and throughout the Metropolitan Transportation Authority system,” said Jeffery Cardillo, vice president at Forte Construction. “A special sense of pride comes from working on the facility that our own company will use daily.”
Over the past two years, the contractor executed substantial upgrades to its new space. The first floor now features a spacious reception area adjacent to five offices. Meanwhile, the second floor incorporates 15 offices furnished with standing desks, ergonomic chairs and other state-of-the-art features.
The interior renovation, spearheaded by 10 subcontractors, included updated conference rooms with built-in iPads, multiple kitchenettes, environmentally friendly waterless urinals and a revamped elevator. These teams also installed precast panels around the building’s columns and enhanced the windows with an aluminum storefront design, according to the release.
Forte Construction collaborates with key government agencies like MTA, Long Island Rail Road, New York City Housing Authority, New York City Transit Authority and Dormitory Authority of the State of New York. The general contractor also will continue to maintain its offices in Manhattan and Queens, New York, according to the company.
