Dive Brief:
- Sterling at Silverleaf, part of the affluent DC Ranch private golf community in Scottsdale, Ariz., is entering its $27.6 million second phase of construction by Cypress Development.
- The phase includes 12 two-story luxury estate villas beginning at $2.2 million and ranging from 3,980 to 4,800 square feet, and also featuring an attached cabana or casita with a private entrance.
- Green features include four iPads installed in each villa to remotely control audio, video, lighting, window coverings, security systems and wine room temperature, and a proprietary Eco-Mode App with Crestron dims lighting to 80%.
Dive Insight:
As you might expect from amenities like exotic stone countertops, game rooms with mini-bars, and a climate-controlled wine room didn't give it away, DC Ranch is one of Arizona's most prestigious private communities. Sterling at Silverleaf is the first single-family new construction product carrying gold-level certification from the U.S. Green Building Council and the National Association of Homebuilders, and, with phase three, it will also be home to DC Ranch's only condominiums — albeit, there will be 213 of them. Phase two should wrap up late in 2014. Phase one included 16 villas, and both current phases were designed by renowned architect Bing Hu.
