A Boston-area contractor that was looking to expand after six years has decided that Canada is the bet to make because its energy-driven economy is healthier than its yet-to-rebound U.S. counterpart.
Trinity Building + Construction Management Corp., is based in the Boston suburb of Wilmington. Business development Vice President Paul Mancini said the Canadian expansion came because, "Canada’s economy is largely driven by energy and natural resources and therefore has not had the tremendous downturn that we have recently experienced in the U.S."
Also weighing in the decision, Mancini said, is that Trinity's "our current and potential clients either already have operations in Canada or are planning future operations there."
The Canadian subsidiary is Trinity Builders + General Contractors, ULC.
