- Falls Church, Virginia-based HITT Contracting has acquired Central Consulting & Contracting, a healthcare construction firm based in Newark, New Jersey, the builder announced in a March 11 news release.
- Richard Simone, Central’s CEO, has joined HITT’s New York team as vice president. He will work closely with HITT’s New York leadership to ensure a seamless transition, while Central’s team members have also officially joined HITT, per the release. The additions expand HITT’s local presence to more than 70 New York-based team members.
- The acquisition positions HITT to meet increasing demand for medical facilities in one of what it says is the largest and fastest-growing healthcare markets in the U.S., according to the news release.

Central Consulting & Contracting brings a portfolio of projects and longstanding relationships with major healthcare institutions in the tri-state area, including Englewood Health, Montefiore Health System and St. Barnabas Health System Bronx.
HITT declined to share the acquisition price on the deal.
