Redwood City-based DPR Construction has appointed Kali Bonnell as Atlanta Business Unit Leader, the first woman to fill the role, the firm announced on May 18. She will lead project delivery and support DPR teams.
Bonnell brings to the job more than 14 years of experience in the construction industry, all of them at DPR. She started as an intern in Atlanta in 2008 and honed her expertise as a project engineer with the firm’s Special Services Group, which focuses on small to midsize builds such as residency halls, healthcare renovations and commercial offices.
She later worked in other states as lead project manager, gaining particular technical expertise in the healthcare space. She is now returning to Atlanta to focus on delivering predictable outcomes for clients.
"There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the hard work of so many come to fruition," said Bonnell in the release. "I am excited to lead the Atlanta Business Unit and have the opportunity to surround myself with accomplished problem solvers who are passionate about building great things in Atlanta and beyond."
DPR’s Atlanta office works on the company’s core markets of healthcare, commercial, higher education, advanced technology and life sciences. Earlier this year, the firm also brought on Mark Whitson as president and Angela Floyd as CFO.
