Crossland Heavy Contractors has opened a new office in North Texas, the firm announced Monday, in order to address the burgeoning demand for infrastructure in one of the country’s fastest-growing regions.
The Prosper, Texas, location is near the Columbus, Kansas-based civil construction firm’s other hubs in Northwest Arkansas; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Oklahoma City. The move comes just a few months after the opening of an office in Omaha, Nebraska, late last year.
The Texas expansion will be led by Jason Lundry, Texas division manager, according to Crossland. Lundry has over two decades of experience, including leading several significant projects such as the $57 million Broken Arrow Wastewater Treatment Plant project in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
“There is a clear demand for enhanced infrastructure in Texas, and Crossland Heavy is fully prepared to meet this challenge,” said Lundry in the release. “Our new location not only allows us to leverage our existing resources more efficiently but also positions us to better serve the evolving needs of this growing region.”
Five of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. are in North Texas, according to a 2024 U.S. Census Bureau report.
CHC, a sister company of Crossland Construction, was founded in 1993 to broaden the firm’s range of expertise into the heavy civil and environmental industries, according to the company website. Crossland was ranked No. 55 on the latest ENR 400 list, with a 2023 revenue of $2.06 billion.
