Dive Insight:
The ball park is a public-private partnership between the Braves organization, the county and the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum and Exhibit Hall Authority. In the memorandum of agreement that the parties signed last fall, the Braves said they had determined it is "in the best interests of the Team and its fans to relocate to a site that will provide greater access to its regional fan base." The Braves moved to Atlanta in 1966.
