Dallas-based global contractor and consulting firm AECOM has appointed Bob Hart as the president of its construction management business, including its AECOM Tishman and AECOM Hunt brands.
Hart brings more than 35 years of industry experience to this role, beginning with Indianapolis-based Hunt Construction Group, now AECOM Hunt. Most recently, Hart was chief operating officer of the construction management business and a member of the company’s executive leadership team.
Throughout his decades with the firm he has helped to deliver many megaprojects across the Western U.S., according to a May 16 press release. AECOM’s construction management division builds arenas, airports, convention centers and other large projects across the country.
Some of its recent jobs include SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California; the 3 World Trade Center building and JFK Airport Terminal One in New York City; the Four Seasons Hotel in Nashville; and the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
Hart will replace Jay Badame, who led the firm’s construction management business for the past five years. Badame, who has worked for AECOM and Tishman Construction for 40 years, will transition to a new role as executive advisor to Hart.
In 2018, Badame was named Construction Dive’s Executive of the Year for his work in helping the firm to land major commercial projects and forge strategic partnerships.
AECOM also announced other executive changes, appointing professional engineers John Kovacs and Eric Reid as executive vice presidents and co-leads of AECOM Tishman’s New York region, reporting to Hart. Kovacs and Reid have been with AECOM Tishman for 27 years and 15 years, respectively. All appointments are effective immediately.
